Shire Reckoning
February 7, 2007Allyn wrote a plugin called Shire Reckoning a while back to display the current date in the Shire Calendar, a date system of Tolkien’s invention. Now it’s even easier to use thanks to Allyn’s calendar widget.
Squirl
October 5, 2006You may think I’m nuts, but I think you should reserve the driest spot in your hollow log this winter for this Squirl widget. What is Squirl? No, it is not a spelling reform campaign.
Squirl is a new way to catalog, organize and share your books, records, movies, comic books, stamps, coins, or practically anything else, and meet other collectors who are as passionate as you.
The widget proudly displays your collectibles on your blog.
Associative Dictionary
May 1, 2006What a wonderful toy! This widget sets up a database table that holds user-contributed definitions for words. The widget displays a word and its definition, hyperlinking each word in the definition to that word’s own definition. If a word is undefined, it instead links to a form that allows the user to define the word. I can see this being a ton of fun.
The demo is Dutch. The first person to set this up for English or any other language should leave a link here in the comments!
