This just in: a feeds widget that lists all of the feeds that are releveant to the current page. For example, when you visit the widget’s post it lists the site’s main feeds as well as the comments feed for that post.
King, adj.: having more options than anyone would have thought necessary.
King Login, n.: a WordPress widget that creates a login form according to the preferences you set in its four-page control box.
Seriously, this widget gives you more control than you ever realized you needed. If and when you realize it, however, you’ll be glad you had the options. Mucking about with these widgets gives you almost as much control as editing the PHP templates, but faster and with less hassle. So if you need more power, check out the King widgets.
Taking the award for most specialized widget, here is the AvFuel widget for displaying the current prices of aviation fuel on your very own airport blog. What’s next?
I never figured anyone would need to find anything important in my blog, but not everyone is this self-abasing. For the rest, there is the WordPress Widget King Search. The author has come up with his own Widget Framework that is required to make this widget work.
I haven't tried any of the King widgets. Have you? Can you attest to their royalty?
Here's one I could even roll into the Widgets plugin: Alan's Drop Down Archives. It adds a checkbox to the Archives widget so you can keep the archives in a select element rather than displaying the entire list all of the time. Less clutter is more.
Tane has started an Accessibility Widget that lets your visitors choose the font size with one click. Neat!
Jeremy is working on a widget for folks who use FeedBurner. The initial version of the widget is very basic but he has some good ideas for development.
